Washington Times Herald office closed to public
In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Washington Times Herald office will be closed to the public beginning Tuesday. Subscriber services, including renewing or setting up a new subscription, can be done by calling 812-254-0480. Credit or debit card transactions for payments can be made over the phone. Those needing to place classified or other advertisements may also do so over the phone.
AA meetings canceled
All Alcoholic Anonymous meetings have been canceled through April 6 or until further notice.
25th Annual United Way Day of Caring postponed
The United Way of Daviess County annual Day of Caring slated for May has been postponed. No new date has been set yet.
Daviess County Landfill recycling center now closed
Effective Immediately the Daviess County Landfill will be adhering to the following rules in the best interest of our society:
The Daviess County Landfill is currently open regular operating hours. Only authorized personnel will be allowed to enter the scalehouse building. All transactions continue take place at the drive up window on the north side of the building. This includes waste disposal, bag tag sales and inquiries.
However, the Recycling Facility located at the landfill has been closed until further notice.
Washington Mayor's Office now closed
The Washington Mayor's Office is now closed to the public. Those needing to contact Mayor Dave Rhoads can do so by call 812-254-5575.
